Buttermilk Falls

Description

Buttermilk Falls is a 23m high terraced ribbon waterfall, very close to Albion Falls. At some point in the past it must have been fed by a much stronger source in order to form the gorge below the falls, however, it is now almost entirely fed by storm drains and only has good flow during and immediately after heavy rainfall.

Notes

The City has declared the foot of the falls off-limits, with a $10,000 ‘fine’ for anyone getting into trouble and needing to be rescued by emergency services.
